The state of my foot.

So I went to A&E this morning. And I've got to hand it to the NHS - I was in and out within the hour. Am impressed. (Good, friendly service too!)

Anyway, they did an x-ray of my foot, looked at it (the x-ray) and said I had a tiny fracture. The upshoot is that now I'm wearing one of these:

Mind you, it's a lot better than a pot! But my mobility is rather restricted. So, since I have TIME (and can't move easily) and also have Netflix - is there anything I MUST watch? (Or read, for that matter.)

Note: Am already reading GoT (have sort-of started book 4, am pacing myself now), and am not interested in watching the show. (Never say never, but the books are enough for me.)

Plans so far: An Unearthly Child, The Daleks, The Edge of Destruction. (I have these on DVD!) Also Press Gang. ETA: And House of Cards, which is on Netflix. Actually, that might be plenty for now...

Background: Saturday morning, at the crack of dawn, the cat decided he wanted to get out and went 'Letmeoutletmeoutletmeoutletmeout' (well, he went 'Miaow! Miaow! Miaow! Miaow!, but it was obvious what he wanted) and - as I was obviously the only one who could hear him - I decided to let him out before he started tearing holes in the carpet to attract further attention.

What I learned: Do not walk down stairs when you are not awake. Because you might think you are at the bottom when you are not. And then you'll end up in a painful heap on the floor and your foot will hurt.

Arrrghhh! But it's good they recognized the fracture so quickly. My mom was limping around for couple of weeks thinking it's a muscle strain or something, because they didn't see the tiny fracture on an X-Ray. Only MRI showed it, and she then got a similar boot and soon was OK.

Hope you'll get better soon, and tumbling down the stairs is a very scary thing, could be worse. Please be careful! (hug)

And your DVD watching plans look great. :)
I've been watching the 3rd Doctor years bit by bit and Pertwee is a delight. I like him more than Tom Baker so far, heh-heh. :) (Ugh and #12 and 8th season caught up with me before I could process 11 properly)
