Because I'm practically asleep...
Um, a conversation with
jenjojen reminded me of this. A while ago we caught a bit of 'P&P' on the BBC, only it was a commentary by the director and, um, writer?, which proved very interesting.
The one thing that I really remember was that the director's theory (and direction to Colin Firth I believe), was that Darcy got a raging hard-on every time he saw Lizzie. Which is why he's always so very stiff and formal around her... ::dissolves into giggles::
Oh dear, I think I will blame the cold, which is still with me. Actually got a lot done today, but am now wiped. *yawn* Time to gather up the kiddies and dump them in the bath, then settle down with a nice cup of tea and some Christmas cake.

I agree that Naked!Darcy is a concept to cuddle close to oneself on a chilly winter's night...

If only I wasn't feeling so crappy I'd be able to enjoy my own Darcy... *sigh*

Poor baby. But remember, a Darcy is for life, not just for Christmas.
Hope you're feeling better very soon!

As an aside, I'm not sure if it was poor casting, or just my skewed idea of beauty, but I never understood why the actress who played Jane was considered to be more beautiful than Jennifer Ehle, who played Lizzie. I just don't see it.

I know what you mean about Jane. According to the book, Jane is definitely the beauty of the family, whereas Lizzie is more 'spirited'. I guess the casting sort of makes sense, in that Jane has a very 'classical' face (very pre-Raphaelite) and Lizzie sort of sparkles.

If that's the case then poor Lydia thinking she got the sexy husband is (as I suspected) a total idiot.

Hee! I'm totally going to look out for that every time! :)
And when was Lydia ever smart? Everyone knows that the one who goes on about it, must be rubbish.

As long as this doesn't affect your Mr Darcy ;)
