Music meme + pimp

curiouswombat tagged me for the 5 songs meme, saying that I had interesting tastes in music (that's what comes from sending someone 'The Elk Polka'). ;)

Anyway, at first I didn't really know what to choose, since I don't tend to listen to song 'by themselves' - I'll just put an album on and listen to the whole thing. But then I realised that I've been listening to a lot of songs from vids lately, so I'm going to do a sort of combined meme and pimp!

List five songs that you are currently digging... it doesn't matter what genre they are from, whether they have words, or even if they're any good but they must be songs you're really enjoying right now. Post these instructions, the artists, and the five songs in your blog. Then tag five other people to see what they're listening to.

1. 'Red Oyster Cult' by Guster. Great song and an excellent Willow vid by sdwolfpup about Willow's 'seduction' by magic (and Rack).

2. 'Exile' by Enya. I'm not usually one for Enya, but this is a truly gorgeous song. This one also by sdwolfpup - a Firefly Mal/Inara vid. Beautiful and heartbreaking.

3. 'Superstar' by Tegan and Sara. Fascinating song, that's utterly, utterly perfect for heres_luck's incredible Faith vid. Go watch it now!

4. 'Being Nobody' by Richard X Vs Liberty X . I have a thing for pure pop, and this song presses all my buttons. Also a good Spuffy vid by Cybermintz.

5. 'Blood of me' by Heather Nova. A rather odd song that it took me a while to like, but now I love it. Gorgeous S6 Spuffy vid by heres_luck.

Not sure who to tag - I think most of my flist has done this meme by now. So anyone who wants to!

Hey, thanks for saying such nice things about my vids (and taste in music)! It's fun to be reminded that people are still watching the Buffy/Spike vids -- I'd almost forgotten making those. Heh.

And I'm always happy to see other people rec SDW's Mal/Inara vid. Such a good vid. Mal! Inara! My show! ::sob::
