TV and Skyfall.
Red Dwarf
Not a lot to say. There was 'Red Dwarf Does Life of Brian' and then the latest one which was... just pretty standard.
HIGNFY
Particularly loved their covering of the Trump thing... They didn't mention Obama's comeback (probably they filmed the programme before?), but Ian's summary was just beautiful: "Basically... He's the President, and you're a man with silly hair."
Also, somehow I'd missed the fact that Victoria Coren and David Mitchell are engaged. This immediately made everything 150% better. :)
Merlin
We now have a ~ritual~ for watching Merlin, which involves hot chocolate with marshmallows. I like this a lot. Although I might need tape in future as Impish Girl (in particular) does NOT know how to shut up. Never known ANYONE to just COMMENT so much, and so constantly, over what happens on screen. (Her comment: "It's just too much fun to make fun of!") Anyway, I think all the writing revolves around creating scenes where Merlin and Arthur Look Meaningfully At Each Other. I approve of this, naturally. Mmmm. Show.
Graham Norton & Skyfall
Graham Norton had a Bond Special. 'Twas brilliant. The guests were Daniel Craig, Dame Judi Dench and Javier Bardem:
Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3.
It made me v. keen to watch Skyfall, so I went to look up the trailer, which looks v. awesome:
HOWEVER. (SPOILERS FOR TRAILER TO FOLLOW!) I am also amused. It strikes me that this makes a perfect trifecta of British heroes going through the same story. The Doctor, Sherlock, and now Bond, all DIE - except not really. I am tempted to write something about the death of Empire and... stuff. Seriously, I do have thoughts about this. But not now. The other thing that made me laugh was that Bond gets an isomorphic gun. (Yes, that's what it is. Blah blah palmprint recognition, it's isomorphic.) *g*
And here endeth today's ramblings. In case you're wondering, then Impish Girl is now not feeling well. I LIVE IN A HOUSE OF PLAGUE! ('S OK. I've got plenty to do around the house.)

no subject
It really is.
I suspect I would have felt the same way as impish girl about that show when I was her age!
It's a perfectly valid response, I just wish she'd shut up so I could hear the actual dialogue...
Donald Trump has always been kind of a joke, but the wide consensus is that he's finally jumped the shark for good.
Good.
I just hope he'll be so humiliated that he goes away...
It's unlikely, but here's to hoping!
