I was very happy with his FFL review. I think I like them so much because his reactions are a lot like mine were as the show was airing. I cannot tell you how so glad I was that he liked Riley. And now we're at the part where I started to think Buffy/Spike could be a good thing.
"The Body" will devastate Mark, but I'm glad to see him finally getting Spike. And cheers to you for predicting he'd like it! Wish I could say the same about his reaction to Spuffy . . .
Good review, though Mark is going to be p*ssed in a half if he ever reads the comics and finds out that Cecily was a wish demon named Halfrey. And why she dumped him like that in the first place. Irony thy name is Joss. At least though he will be happy to see what happens to the people who insulted William and that is one of the best Spike comics ever by Peter David. Someone at least neeeds to tell Mark what Spike's last name is but I guess that counts as a spoiler.
I really need to read more of his reviews, I do. I'm mid-season five right now on my rewatch. I love Spike's speech in FFL, and damn, the first time was ... well, I remember it well, and that says something given how long it's been since it first aired.
also *raises hand* unrepentant multishipper for this show. I started out as solely a femmeslasher for Buffy (and not primarily Willow/Tara first time around; I weighted towards Faith/Buffy and Buffy/Willow while the show was airing) then sort of drifted into Buffy/Giles and a few others. So. Yeah. *g*
Though not too surprised. It is an amazing episode, and Mark tends to react to things as presented. Of course he'd love it. Which is why I wrote a prediction post. 'Twasn't hard. ;)
*can't wait for Intervention* Mmmmmmm. *flails*
Though he's gonna have a huge breakdown at The Body. Well who doesn't? Although I think he will appreciate that it was Joss\ way of processing the loss of his mother. That's an important factor.
I was very happy with his FFL review. I think I like them so much because his reactions are a lot like mine were as the show was airing. His reactions are very straightforward, but he appreciates complex characters, which is lovely. <3
I cannot tell you how so glad I was that he liked Riley. *nods* Riley is not my favourite character, but I don't understand the hatred either. He's flawed, and I think his arc is rather neat.
And now we're at the part where I started to think Buffy/Spike could be a good thing. It's such a beautifully gradual thing. Which is one reason I love it.
But uh, "The Body" is going to upset him badly. :(
Well The Body is one of THOSE episodes. It *should* devastate the viewer...
And if I were to put on my predicting hat again, then I think he'll like Spuffy - he already picked up on Spike's arc (moving towards the light), and given how *gradual* Spike/Buffy develops, I think he'll definitely come round. I still remember AOQ (who was also watching unspoiled) talking about S/B when it came OMWF - he'd not been able to picture them getting together in S5, but had not counted on *Buffy* changing (which she does, post-resurrection).
I like reading Mark, but i am still unsure whether I believe him about being unspoiled. Some of his predictions seem almost too spot on... I have also been reading his Mark reads Twilight and there is one imstance where he talks about Angel trying to rape Buffy. He quickly corrects himself and asks how he could have made this mistake.
So reading his reviews I'm always distracted by wondering if he's not quite honest, which is a pity.
It'll be interesting to see if he wants to go near any comics. I'd sorta recommend that he doesn't - not that some of them aren't brilliant, but they're kinda hit-and-miss...
And the Halfrek thing is semi-canon, what with it being the same actress and all, and her recognising him.
I really need to read more of his reviews, I do. They've gotten really good - he's laid off the PAGE FULL OF CAPSLOCK and the like, so they're pretty readable now. :)

Well, he plays to his audience, since that's how he makes his living. As for being unspoiled... I know what you mean, but even if he knows more than he lets on, the hows and whys are going to throw him.
