Pretty things.

It's been a very WARM January until this weekend. Saturday we woke up to frost, and it's been frosty ever since. *shivers* Mind you, it's also ridiculously pretty. I walked into work this morning (I like walking, and it only takes half an hour), and the mist was almost impenetrable, which made everything all magical - especially since the whole world looked like it'd stepped straight out of Fantasia. So beautiful.

Also Sherlock has made me happy all day. Which probably sounds weird, but good writing just does things to me... If I can find the time tonight I'll try to consolidate my thoughts a little.

I recall taking my dog: Tuppence, now long deceased, with me when I was delivering newspapers the morning after a night's snowfall. My route took right out past the farms on the edge of the village and, with all the fresh snow on the ground, were bird tracks, the tracks of a fox; and nothing else. It was a pristine and glittery diamond-like white; so, so beautiful. When I think of her, it's one of my fondest memories of Tuppence. LOL Ray.
