I've managed to talk/nag/push/nudge Promethia into watching Buffy [insert Dance of Joy], and here's her latest comment:

So, Cordelia steps onto the scene in oxblood leather, and I have to ask myself:

What are the chances that she'll pwn all their sorry asses, resume her role as bitch queen goddess of the school, and start up a torrid lesbian affair with Faith?

Basically: Is there fic?

I figure there must be, but I was never an aficionado of Cordy/Faith, so could anyone direct me to the appropriate place? AO3 any good? Old archives?

I love them both, but that's one that never occurred to me! Sharing the Buffy-love is always of the good. You might try find_buffy_recs or seeking_spike. I'm pretty sure there's a rare pairing com too though I'm not sure how active it is.

I'm actually feeling awhole lot better. Steroids suck like a sucking thing, but they do work. They also make me kind of manic and sleepless though. It's 3 am and I was just cleaning my bathroom, which segued into reorganizing my hall closet... I've been up for 23.5 hours! I know the crash is coming.

But hey! Breathing!

Connor totally had a thing for Faith, which actually kind of makes sense, except Faith had a thing for Angel. ::shudders:: I love me some AtS, but I really wonder about the writers sometimes.

I'm having trouble deciding if I'm more excited to see the characters, or see how moving to the US changes things.

I dunno, both Wesley and Ianto ended up dead. Although granted Wesley's death was somewhat more meaningful - Wesley died because Angel had a bad plan, and Ianto died because Jack had no plan at all.

They kind of do! I'm not sure where you are in canon (Season three? Oh, I Love season three!) But Faith's arch rock season three, and she has a very memorable time when she comes back in season 4. And her development of Angel is really intriguing. Her arch on season one of AtS and then in season four (AtS) is one of my favorite things about the show. When you've watched that you should read In the Underworld by talesofspike/ talesofsnape. It's gen, and a great twist on an brutally compelling episode.

Personally I like what they do with Cordelia, but that's kind of controversial.

I don't know if you've met Wes yet, but he goes to AtS and has the best, most morally draining arch ever.

And thanks for the steroid insomnia sympathy! I had a horrible asthma attack yesterday and ended up spending the day having medical care inflicted on me. Today I'm devoting to laying on the couch!

Although, S3... Band Candy. Lovers Walk. The Wish. Helpless. The Zeppo. Doppelgängland... I tend to see it in terms of 'Lots of fun standalones and Faith and the Mayor yay!' and just remove all knowledge of B/A from my mind.

Yeah, but Giles spends so much time being exposition/explanations man. And he's not a *fantastically* interesting character, although I do like him quite a lot. It's a lot to ask him to carry the weight of the show, even when Xander and Willow aren't playing will they/won't they *glowers*

I think I'd really like a show, actually, that was more about the relationship between Giles and Buffy rather than Buffy and her peers. Kind of a Mulder/Scully thing but with a teacher/student or parent/child vibe rather than a shippy one.

The parent/child thig does get explored... and Giles starts off as a kind of British stereotype doddering librarian, but he gets more interesting later on [this happens a lot in Whedonverse]

I think my favorite thing about both Buffy/Angel and Giles/Jenny was the fodder they provided for the relationship between Buffy and Giles. If only the emphasis could have been flopped around so that the Buffy and Giles stuff was the *point* rather than the afterthought.

Xander is Mr Average Joe, and a lot of people favourite because he's just *normal* (well, he doesn't have any superpowers). There are also people who hate him, because of his... opinions on supernatural beings. I'm not really bothered either way. He's just Xander.

Mr. Average Joe characters tend to get on my nerves. And there's something about him that is aggressively annoying in this respect.

And I love, love, love the themes/arc of S5. The early seasons are all about growing up, but in S5 they start digging into properly interesting stuff.
