I can put up with a lot.
But. People. Its WRINGER. With a W! A character does not 'go through the ringer, because that would MAKE NO SENSE, unless maybe they were in a bell tower, and non corporeal, and could thusly walk through the bell ringer.
Even worse is someone ringing their hands. (Yes, I have seen this. I am still stuck between being appalled and laughing my head off.) What do they think they're writing?
This post brought to you by a brief venture outside my flist.
(Also: Ad nauseam and dammit, now we're here. Have I mentioned how I am not good with mornings? Grrrrr. Die, mornings, die.)
But, so as not to have infected you with my grumpiness, have a FABULOUS fic where Martha meets Eleven:
Strangers with Bow Ties by sciathan file.

Ride a cock horse to Banbury Cross
To see a fine lady upon a white horse
With rings on her fingers and bells on her toes
She shall have music wherever she goes.
Except in this case she's got bells on her fingers, and possibly rings on her toes...

*lifts coffee in agreement with the idea that mornings should die* Of course it's afternoon there now.

Oh that is HORRIBLE indeed. *feels for you*
Actually, I wouldn't mind mornings if it wasn't for other people...
And the afternoon is better, so far, although it's rather depressing to look for work, trying to be as professional and organised as possible, and then realise that the people who are supposed to help you are unorganised and a bit useless. Boo.

These tend to be a lot more flagrant, though. And, well, they are only 14.

See that I wouldn't mind! :D

A lot of things are forgivable in 14 year olds. (Well I say that now. I'm sure it'll be less funny once I have one of my own...)

Though I have to say the mental picture of someone "ringing" their hands amuses me!

Same here. How can anyone write that with a straight face? ;)

That, and "grin and bare it".

You know, that could be Capt Jack's tagline...
(Also HELLO! How are you?)

I LOVE HIM! I can't help but laugh every time I watch him flail--erm, I mean, RING HIS HANDS. ;)

I am enjoying last week though! I do love a chance to bemoan homophone mix-ups. "Here here" is one that upsets me greatly.
::waves:: I hope all is good with you xx

Just replied to your other comment (couldn't not *g*), but hello again! :)
And yes, hiding from spoilers is a good idea. There's even spoilers on the DW website... /o\
Anyway, good to see you - I'm busy too and wish I could live in last week too, that'd be neat.
(I'm half asleep, and hope I'm making sense...)
