Mmmmm. I adored last season, but a lot of it was set up, but because we have the same TARDIS crew this season there's no need for introductions. :)
And very scary in places. I actually find Moffat's stories scarier than RT Davies. Moffat came up with two of the most interesting and scariest villains - the weeping angels and the piranhas of the air.
Moffat's monsters tend to be fairytale like - that is, real things behaving in ways they shouldn't. Statues that move and shadows that can kill you and a crack in the wall that can erase people. The familiar made unfamiliar, rather than something from the outside (robots, aliens).
And I couldn't not share - as it happens I got lucky and found a two minute gap where LJ would let me post...
