Yesterday was The First Day of Spring, and lo and behold: WARMTH AND SUNSHINE!

It's strange, but not unwelcome, and today has been even lovelier.

In other news, then I've not been around much. This is mostly due to RL reasons, since I've started an IT course and am spending my days staring at a screen and learning useful things instead of writing fic or meta or messing around with LJ...

(Have things to say about various fannish subjects, but I'll make separate posts. Also Darcy just came home and I need to run!)

ETA: Oh, and I'll keep not being around much for the next few weeks. I had planned a hiatus anyway, in order to get some writing done, so I hope I'll be able to squeeze some in. (Chapter 2 of 'My Immortal 2' was always a problem, although I've more or less got it worked out now.)

I know! It's the first day I've been out without my winter coat since...I can't remember.

Good luck with the IT course. I could have done with some actual IT knowledge yesterday, but I muddled through without it.

I actually wore my winter coat (it's not terribly thick, btw, just long) and rather regretted it by the afternoon...

Thank you. So far I've learned all about the 'difficult' parts of Word, which I've never explored on my own. I feel very clever. ;)

When we first got Word where I used to work they sent us on a half day training course, then we were expected to know how to use it! Everything I know about computers I've learnt from reading fanfic on the internet *g*.

Heh. Although I'm sure you can pick things up as you go along. (Although today I have learned about Mail Merge, something which previously was on the lines of black magic.)

Me too! And funnily enough, when I did my initial assessment I could pass the Word test. (Just.) But I am doing the course so I can learn all the other stuff, so I am now feeling very virtuous! ;)
