I would be honour-bound to vote for one of the PROPER Who show's Doctors; or, out of sheer bloody-mindedness Richard E. Grant's online-only Scream of the Shalka Doctor for, Matt Smith should be the Twelfth Doctor if I recognised the new show's canon, which I don't; preferring not to think too much of Christopher Ecclestons portrayal, and wishing that Paul McGann's would disappear through a TARDIS-involved Universe rewrite :-)
Hence the concept of sheer bloody-mindedness sweetie :-)
As much as I love "Twelve", Amy & Rory, I will NEVER forgive the PTB for destroying the old show; especially Michael Grade.
Sylvester McCoy & Ace were just about as perfect a combination as could have been wished for, and I saw Colin Baker, after he'd already done some filming, but had only just been announced officially as the new Doctor.
I have never heard someone so enthused about taking on a role, or more dedicated to doing the role of The Doctor more justice.
But the BBC had already decided it wanted to drop the show and basically did everything it could to undermine the show from the end of the previous Doctor's tenure.
Not even Rory would get my vote I'm afraid. Which I hope shows how strong my feelings are about the issue.
