Procrastinating.
So, I changed my layout again... But last night's Torchwood squee post reminded me that the show is coming back, and I really want to finish 'My Immortal 2' before S4 airs. So, I've put up my pretty, pretty banner to work as a constant reminder. :)

Watched 'Outnumbered' last night, and if anyone ever wonders what my life is like, that show is a pretty good indicator: The eldest child, who is sensible and quiet (just like Jake, Miss M would always stand at the door, ready before everyone else... Thank goodness that she catches the bus herself these days), the middle child who is a bit mad (although Impish Girl is THANKFULLY a lot less of a handful than Ben!) and the little one who's just... herself (really, Karen even looks a fair bit like The Cherub). It is UNCANNY!
Here's a clip from last night's episode which encapsulates so many of my children's arguments I can't even begin to count them:
Go to youtube for more... ETA: Also love this one: What's too fat?, as it beautifully highlights the difficulties of trying to navigate the world we live in, and explain it to little people...

Although if I strain it's like I can *almost* remember the feeling of that--being five.

Indeed. Everything Karen says about the frisbee could have come straight out of The Cherub's mouth. Like I said - uncanny!

I'm not sure I can... Too many fiver year olds of my own...

Karen (well, Ramona Marquez) played Princess Margaret in The King's Speech and was good, but calmer, in that too.

*nods a lot* There's the episode where they are having people round to look at the house because they want to sell it, and it starts with the mother sending everyone out to school/work, and being left with a tip. When her husband comes home it's immaculate, and she tells him not to touch anything because it took her seven hours to get it looking like that. All I could do was nod in recognition.

I did not know that. Will look out for her. :)

It is *wonderful*!
My sister has four kids, and I always say that spending time with the whole mob hits the snooze button on my biological clock.
Four! I can well imagine.
That scene with the two kids arguing felt very realistic! Especially the older brother wapping his younger sister with the wand. Hee!
*nods* Why did he do it? Just because. Ah kids.
