Not here, honest!
Just saw that apparently someone or something called 'Care 2' is sponsoring a petition to show how people think a Buffy movie without Joss is a very bad idea. What cracked me up was this quote:
To credit John Kubicek's (Senior Writer, BuddyTV) statement - "Find me one person who liked Buffy the Vampire Slayer but not Joss, and I'll show you a liar."
Clearly this person has never encountered this thing called 'fandom'...
(Does anyone have a link to that 'Star Wars Fans Hate Star Wars' essay? The only ones I've found are dead. But it struck me as oddly appropriate. *g* Oh and I have no opinion on the possibility of a movie, but I figure it can't be worse/more bizarre than the comics.)
ETA: Oh, and here's a fabulous little sketch (which has nothing to do with Buffy, but it also made me laugh):

Moffat fans, RTD fans, and well all the other writers who wrote for it. And well Eccleston, Smith and Tennant fans (ie all the actors who played the different versions)
Example: I'm a Moffat fan, okay with RTD...loved RTD's Torchwood, not so crazy about RTD's Who. But I'm a David Tennant fan, Smith is growing on me.
Not really a Doctor Who fan - since no interest in watching Who prior to RTD's run, and no interest in owning any of it (bloody expensive - about three times the amount of the Buffy DVD's in the States).
Buffy's a bit simpler...but it also was only on for 7 years, while Doctor Who has been running on tv off and on for close to 50 yrs.

Word. You forgot those who don't think the show was any good since they started making it in colour... ;)
And, in case you haven't read it: The 45 deaths of Doctor Who.
Oh - and the best joke ever:
How many Doctor Who fans does it take to change a light bulb?
Only one, but they won't think it's as good as the old one.
