Little Mistakes by
calapine. Four times the Doctor avoided a first kiss - thanks to a sonic screwdriver, more or less - and one time he didn’t. (Everything you could ever wish for and more!)

This is one of the funniest things I have EVER seen! OH TEN!!! ETA: Also, you don't really need to be familiar with Doctor Who to enjoy this. His FAAAACE! :D
cosmiccoz uploaded the podcast for ‘Silence in the Library’ (I re-uploaded it btw), and this bit just made me flail. A lot. It’s Moffat, David Tennant and Julie Gardner...
Moffat: You can sort of imagine that there was a television series where Alex Kingston rode around space with her little team of Daves and Anita. Probably romantically linked to all of them!
DT: *sporfle* [beat] What - you don’t think she’s... uh, faithful? To her husband... I’m not suggesting who her husband may be, but...
Moffat: Why would she be faithful to her husband if she doesn’t have one?
DT: In not suggesting that she has a husband, but if she were to have a husband... I think she’d be faithful to him.
[Julie is TOTALLY with David]
Moff: She’s a fifty-first century woman, come on!
DT [disapproving]: Don’t tar everyone with Captain Jack’s brush!
And then it all goes rather silly... But. River is *so* girl!Jack, and I would LOVE to see a show with her riding around space. Jack, of course, got his own spin-off, but OTOH I’d much rather have River on Doctor Who (in every way, oh yes) so... *g*
Finally, then we watched 'Hush' last night. Just as brilliant as I remembered. A few thoughts...
- Forrest: "This is the burden we bear, brother. We have a gig that would inevitably cause any girl living to think we are cool upon cool. Yet we must Clark Kent our way through the dating scene never to use our unfair advantage."
I found it interesting that Giles uses precisely that hook to get Olivia - and she balks when she discovers that it's all actually true.
- There is a lovely moment when Buffy and Riley are fighting the minions, and she notices one running up the stairs, so she decides to follow - and she stops momentarily, watching Riley battle those that are left and then obviously figures 'Hey, he looks like he can handle himself' and keeps running. And you know... she's so happy and carefree at this point in time. It's lovely to see. ♥
- Giles' slide show (and drawings) were even funnier than I remembered.
- And EVERYTHING to do with Spike was beyond awesome. If I had to pick out a favourite moment it'd be a toss up between the Weetabix conversation with Giles and the moment when Xander (voiceless) calls Buffy and then realises that he can't talk and the phone is useless. Spike's look proves that he doesn't need words - 'You utter and complete MORON!' comes across loudly and clearly. :)

I'm magic like that! (On the serious, I keep tweaking it, and apparently if you just delete the last icon you loaded and load a new one with the same notes and such, LJ will slot it right in in the same slots. V. useful.)
Well I wrote it, and then my brain caught up. After which I *obviously* couldn't change it! :)
*quirks eyebrow*
For some things, Ten really is better! :D I don't think Eleven could be used for that vid, f.ex, since he's not nerdy in the same way.
Hmmmm, I believe you are right. Perhaps because the song is about someone who wants to be cool--which Ten so obviously does. Eleven, for all his "______ are cool," does not actually care, as he so eloquently explains.
(Had a v. interesting discussion here about Ten's 'youth' btw, that you might be interested in. It's quite short.)
Ah, thanks!

Gosh! (Although I discovered the icon thing a while ago. It is v. useful. Esp if you delete an icon, but want to reupload it some other time - as long as you get the keywords exactly the same, it'll spring back wherever you used it!)
*quirks eyebrow*
Oh come on!

*blinks* Oh course. Ten, bless his cotton socks, was delightfully vain! (And a very pretty boy he was too!)

NO WAI! Excellent.
Oh come on!
Ha hahaha. Just teasing.

It's BRILLIANT! It's how I've managed to let go of some favourites that I never used anymore...
*stifles urges to make hair gel jokes*
Oh such urges should NEVER be stifled! (This clip is from S1 of Angel, back when Spike was still baaaaad! And sorry about the quality, it was the only one I could find.)

IT WORKS! Have successfully replaced all the hug icons! Hee.
Oh such urges should NEVER be stifled!
Ok, let me amend that slightly: *wished to create the impression of having something witty on the tip of the tongue without actually having to produce the goods*

I am a FOUNTAIN of knowledge! ;)

Ah. (Obviously I don't *quite* live in your head yet, since I didn't twig that.)
BWAAAH hahahahaha!
No one can snark like Spike! (No! Not the hair! Never the hair!) That whole speech is imprinted in the DNA of Buffy fandom...
