Little Mistakes by
calapine. Four times the Doctor avoided a first kiss - thanks to a sonic screwdriver, more or less - and one time he didn’t. (Everything you could ever wish for and more!)

This is one of the funniest things I have EVER seen! OH TEN!!! ETA: Also, you don't really need to be familiar with Doctor Who to enjoy this. His FAAAACE! :D
cosmiccoz uploaded the podcast for ‘Silence in the Library’ (I re-uploaded it btw), and this bit just made me flail. A lot. It’s Moffat, David Tennant and Julie Gardner...
Moffat: You can sort of imagine that there was a television series where Alex Kingston rode around space with her little team of Daves and Anita. Probably romantically linked to all of them!
DT: *sporfle* [beat] What - you don’t think she’s... uh, faithful? To her husband... I’m not suggesting who her husband may be, but...
Moffat: Why would she be faithful to her husband if she doesn’t have one?
DT: In not suggesting that she has a husband, but if she were to have a husband... I think she’d be faithful to him.
[Julie is TOTALLY with David]
Moff: She’s a fifty-first century woman, come on!
DT [disapproving]: Don’t tar everyone with Captain Jack’s brush!
And then it all goes rather silly... But. River is *so* girl!Jack, and I would LOVE to see a show with her riding around space. Jack, of course, got his own spin-off, but OTOH I’d much rather have River on Doctor Who (in every way, oh yes) so... *g*
Finally, then we watched 'Hush' last night. Just as brilliant as I remembered. A few thoughts...
- Forrest: "This is the burden we bear, brother. We have a gig that would inevitably cause any girl living to think we are cool upon cool. Yet we must Clark Kent our way through the dating scene never to use our unfair advantage."
I found it interesting that Giles uses precisely that hook to get Olivia - and she balks when she discovers that it's all actually true.
- There is a lovely moment when Buffy and Riley are fighting the minions, and she notices one running up the stairs, so she decides to follow - and she stops momentarily, watching Riley battle those that are left and then obviously figures 'Hey, he looks like he can handle himself' and keeps running. And you know... she's so happy and carefree at this point in time. It's lovely to see. ♥
- Giles' slide show (and drawings) were even funnier than I remembered.
- And EVERYTHING to do with Spike was beyond awesome. If I had to pick out a favourite moment it'd be a toss up between the Weetabix conversation with Giles and the moment when Xander (voiceless) calls Buffy and then realises that he can't talk and the phone is useless. Spike's look proves that he doesn't need words - 'You utter and complete MORON!' comes across loudly and clearly. :)
