The real hero of s8?
Spike.
He turned up in the moment of need, knew what was happening, helped every way he could, never got distracted from the mission, refused to be caught up in any of the drama, and was written out going after a demon that would otherwise escape and cause havoc.
So, despite s8 trashing pretty much EVERYTHING I loved about the Buffy-verse (Spuffy included) it does leave me Spike the Champion intact. Which is more than I expected, to be honest.
(Not saying that others weren't good btw. Xander was pretty solid, Faith was awesome [even though I'm still grumbly about some aspects] and Andrew, bless his cotton socks, did well too.)

I kind of want that they all dropped dead at the end, and then Joss (he can do an auto-portrait)can jump on the pile of bodies and do the Dance of Joy and sing Bwa-hahaha. And I'll be happy ;))
Ahahahahaha! That would be fantastic! And look, here he is!
