The real hero of s8?
Spike.
He turned up in the moment of need, knew what was happening, helped every way he could, never got distracted from the mission, refused to be caught up in any of the drama, and was written out going after a demon that would otherwise escape and cause havoc.
So, despite s8 trashing pretty much EVERYTHING I loved about the Buffy-verse (Spuffy included) it does leave me Spike the Champion intact. Which is more than I expected, to be honest.
(Not saying that others weren't good btw. Xander was pretty solid, Faith was awesome [even though I'm still grumbly about some aspects] and Andrew, bless his cotton socks, did well too.)

Somehow, I missed that completely. I blame the fact that work has me completely bamboozled.
*makes note in calendar*
Mostly I am going to need you to listen to my idea and tell me I'm crazy. My stupid brain with its fondness for associating visuals.

Oh it's very easy to miss stuff on LJ. (I suddenly thought that I could have an icon that said 'They had to pay me to get me to read s8!'. Heh.)

Ooooh I'm there already!
