Hello everybody!

This is mainly a little post to say a huge THANK YOU to all the lovely people who commented on my essay! I am completely overwhelmed! ::hugs LJ:: (And a special big hug for [livejournal.com profile] fer1213 for pimping!)

Also a big "Hello" to all my new friends! ::waves:: I'm so flattered that you friended me, I just hope you don't expect any more essays in the near future, since I'm very rushed at the moment (Note to self: Never post long essays when you're busy!).

I do write fic however (this came as a big surprise, but my newfound muse is very insistent, so there are fairly frequent updates). If you're interested, here's all I've done so far:

Play It Again, Sam. A 'missing episode' fic. Sam and Riley turn up in LA late AtS s5. Main response seems to be: 'Poor Riley' since he gets a bit dented! (not literally)

The Summer After A series of little vignettes set post-NFA. Rather dark. (See! I found a title! And I promise I'll do my best to post part 3 tomorrow!!!)

The Last Night Not sure I should include this one in my list... Incredibly schmoopy Chosen-FitB. Something for hardcore Spuffy-fans only.

I'm really more of an artist than a writer, so if anyone wants to join in my project, please do (see Nov. 14th post)!

Must go now (housework, children, artwork...) but I really will try to write a bit tomorrow! :)

ETA: Also thank yous to [livejournal.com profile] superplin, [livejournal.com profile] stultiloquentia and [livejournal.com profile] asta77 for their pimping - I just singled out Fer, because nearly every comment I got started with the words: 'I came here from Fer's journal...')

I've just worked my way through all your fics and enjoyed them very much, especially "The Summer After"; I'm very much looking forward to Part 3.

The paragraph layout in "Play It Again Sam" is a little shaky sometimes, but the story itself is excellent. The relationship developing between Spike and Riley is intriguing, especially as an element of mutual respect and understanding seems to be beginning to creep in. Looking forward to more of that as well.

Definitely glad [livejournal.com profile] fer1213 led me to you.

You've sucked me in already with "The Summer After" when I should really be packing for a weekend away and not reading. Very interesting scenario and I'm dying to find out what happens next.

I don't dare look at the longer fic yet otherwise I shall have no clothes to wear over the weekend!

I didn't have time to say so before I went away for the weekend but thanks very much for the link. I love Kimi's stories and I don't think I'd read that one. It was beautiful and did deal with what must have been Buffy's niggling doubts after Chosen. Maybe I'm convinced *g*.

Now to read all the fic that's been posted since I went away only 5 days ago!

I've not read anything, but then we held a children's birthday party!!!

You brave woman! I hope it went well.

Do you have any links to your art? I'm curious.

Ooh fantastic. I wish I could draw, but I'm rubbish.

I can't actually think of anything I'd like a picture of though (that isn't fandom related anyway), but I'm impressed.

Just poped in to say that I envy all people who read and commented on your essay, since I don't time to do it. Will have to come back.

I enjoyed The Summer After and I can't wait to see what happens. I'll make time to read the others later.

I also just went to your user info page and saw that your favorite candy is salty licorice. Mine too! Especially when it's so salty it makes your toes curl and your mouth raw for days. We have some excellent versions of those here in Sweden. Oh, and salty paired with sour is also very yummy.

[identity profile] spikefan.livejournal.com 2004-11-17 02:42 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm a bit late on this one, but I really enjoyed your essay on "Intervention". Not just food for thought, but a feast for thought. Alas, my resulting thoughts aren't coalescing into a coherent commentary, so you'll have to trust me on that.

Salty licorice? *shudder* I have a friend from Sweden who swears by it, though. I'm unusual among most of my friends, though, for loving black licorice. They only eat the red stuff, which is good, but it certainly doesn't qualify as licorice, IMO.

Salty with sour? Mmmm-mmmm.

Hi. *waves*

I never did get around to commenting on your Intervention post, but you already know how good it was. Plus, all those people thought all the things I wanted to think before I had a chance to. *glares*

The Chosen F-I-B is really sweet and I can so imagine them dancing around the basement. *sigh* They'd both be barefoot, their toes brushing each others with each step. No music for them, of course, they don't need it; they're their own symphony. Just the soft patter of her heart, and the occasional creaking of the floorboards as the group shuffled about upstairs. Afterwards, sitting side by side on the cot, hands interlaced with her head resting on his chest, they'd just be.

Then there'd be lovemaking, 'cause they so did. :)

Sorry for the ramble, but sometimes my Spuffy-love carries me away and I'm not in a hurry to get back. :P

I'm not sure how I found your journal, I think I was just playing Clicky McClickerson, but I'm glad I did. I friended you.

Hi, again.

[identity profile] fer1213.livejournal.com 2004-11-18 06:07 am (UTC)(link)
I'm really excited my rec led people to you. :) And if I ever get some time (heh), I'll make a point to read your fic.

*smooshes you*
