As if today wasn't lovely enough...

Today has so far been a very, very good day. Well apart from Darcy not feeling well, but he's on the mend now I think (::crosses fingers::). We went to town not too long ago, where we got a few things for the caravan (camper van for those in the US - we bought it on eBay and are going to Wales for a week next Sunday). But as we walked by one of those cheapo shops that seem to spring up everywhere these days I saw a bag in the window! Now I've been looking for *the* bag for what seems like forever. And I had this very fixed idea in my head what shape and size I wanted it, but so far all bags have either been a) ugly or b) expensive. But this one was pretty much perfect in every way... and it was only £2.99!!!!! I am beyond thrilled. I could even post a picture if anyone's interested? Anyway, as if that wasn't enough we went to Woolworth's where I (finally) got hold of a Magic Eraser! :) If you are unfamiliar with this product, make haste to this post by [livejournal.com profile] scarlettgirl. (Yes I am a very, very sad housewife - but it works so well!!!!!)

This all made me rather chipper, but when I came home and checked my e-mail, I found out that someone has been playing LJ-fairy and gifted me with 2 more months of paid account time! :D I have my suspicions (based on past behavior), but whoever you are consider yourself thoroughly smooched!

Now if only I could stop this baby doing work outs all the time life would be perfect! ;)

ETA: The house is also slowly bending to my desires and becoming tidy *and* I finished the next Chapter of 'Maybe Someday' yesterday!

Oh - and I've now got 100 friends! :) I still get ridiculously pleased whenever someone friends me, so I'm rather overwhelmed to think that so many people find me somehow interesting! Big hugs to all of you!

Delighted to hear your day's going so well! Re. the Magic Eraser, I just wrote an entire ficlet based on cleaning products, so don't feel alone with the housewife-sadness. And I am neither married nor a homeowner...

(oh and I'd love to see the bag. : D )

What a good day for you - it's great when you see just what you want, and it is ridiculously cheap - it is even more satisfying (I guess) than having loads of money and being able to just buy the 'perfect thing' no matter what it costs. I hasten to add I guess because I've never actually been in the second category!

Gwtting new friends is great as well!

Such a good day deserves a Happy Dance, from Snoopy as opposed to D'Elisi 3!!

I've now got 100 friends! :)

I share your geekjoy. My lj produced a collapsed comment thread for the first time a few days ago ... I did a little rumba in the kitchen.

Have fun in Wales!

Glad it was such a good day. I share your joy over the bag and the cleaning product. The perfect bag is not easy to find (affordable or not) and only fictional characters can afford to live a cleaning-free life. Luckily for me I have an SO that cleans and he was so delighted with a shower cleaning product recently he had to show me how well it worked :>
