One thing I forgot re. DW.

The Doctor: "I am really stupid. And I'm growing old..."

It's the way he says that last line that got to me. It's not said in a 'Oh bother, I'm forgetting things!' way. No, there is a definite sense of 'It's all downhill from here' - that one day he'll be unable to run any more. Only two regenerations left, and then he's done, and I think he feels it keenly.

Any thoughts? I'm half asleep and going to bed now...

Wait what?? Only two regenerations left? Have I missed something here? D:

Ah true true. And since DW is such a fabulous show I don't think the BBC will give it up. If it's making money why stop? XD

I hope they DON'T "find some way around it" - I'd like it emphasized that Time Lords ARE mortal...

Indeed. David Tennant already lasted longer than most actors of the Doctor, save only for Tom Baker. Hopefully Matt doesn't bow out of it so soon.

The master used up his regenerations and then was offered to have them restored.... though he never recieved that "gift", it proves that it is in some way possible to have more incarnations than 13. Also during the war he was awarded the ability to regenerate at least one more time so.... yeah, there are loopholes. The whole regeneration thing was already a device created to keep the show going even if actors wanted to move on, so what's stopping them from keeping it going even longer?
