Because my muse is refusing to co-operate, you get recs.

[livejournal.com profile] rm talks about why warning for slash is offensive.

Fic:

Just For Fun. Donna, Shaun, Eleven. Donna finds a way to make people (and herself) happy.

Minor Temporal Paradoxes. Eleven/River. The Doctor and River have a nice fireside chat and don't destroy the universe, well done them.

Various 'Amy's Choice' reviews that I liked:

5 excellent points/observations by [livejournal.com profile] cryptile (one of which made me laugh out loud).

Three thruths by [livejournal.com profile] honorh.

Excellent thoughts by [livejournal.com profile] selenak.

Happy thoughts by [livejournal.com profile] calapine.

Vid:

Half Life - Amy vid by [livejournal.com profile] big_n_happy. Dark, dense and multi-layered, and manages to be both a character vid and simultaneously deal with the themes of the season. Also, gorgeously made.

Heh. There was a huge discussion on [livejournal.com profile] fanficrants a while back about warning for slash - those who were in favour claimed that just because you used the word "warning" didn't mean you thought there was a negative connotation at all, that it's just a completely objective way of pointing out what's in the story that nobody should feel offended by in the least.

So someone replied "OK, fine, let's test that theory. If 'warning' doesn't have a negative connotation, I'm going to write Ianto/Lisa, warn for interracial relationship, and see if everyone agrees that it's just descriptive."

It took about 2 hours before people who hadn't seen the original thread were on [livejournal.com profile] fanficrants screaming for the writer's blood...
