And since I'm here, I thought I'd recthedeadlyhook's wonderful post How to Win Friends and Alienate Readers. (If I had been asked to sit in, in an editorial capacity, on a meeting to plan out the comics continuation of a popular TV show, penned by its creator, that happened to have a female lead and a large following of adult women, here's what I probably would NOT have advised...)

I read that already, and well said. My primary feeling on season 8 is that unlike the series TPTB are aiming it at the type of fanboys who they assume are the only ones that read comics. Who would by like that guy at work who gets all offended if you call them comics, and corrects you "Graphic Novels". And I'm so not that demographic...

*nods* And that is just stupid... I mean, I like comic books/graphic novels (Elfquest was the first thing I was ever fannish about, even though I didn't know what that meant), and s8 just a terrible, terrible example.
