So I thought the "Just trust Jack!" thing might drive me crazy. But if he's not the one who is provoking that, or if I get to like him before the text goes there, I'd probably be much more likely to like him. I'd recommend watching the first episode, because it really is quite brilliant in laying out exactly what the show is, and Jack's strengths and weaknesses. (And how hollow that 'trust me' really is. But then Jack's role model is the Doctor, which adds another layer. He trusted the Doctor (died for him, no less) and all he got in return was being left behind and the curse of immortality. Jack says 'trust me' because it's all he knows to say.)
That is really, really sweet. I just want Buffy to be happy so badly, so I adore this in theory. And this is why I wrote it! Making Buffy happy is the best feeling in the world!
Aww! That drabble is so sweet! Isn't it just? Sweet, and bitter sweet. I love it to distraction. (Also loved the latest ep with 'I'll never be done saving you!' *hugs the Doctor*)
And also, I don't dislike River anymore! Hurrah!
I can't say that I actively like her, but I found her less annoying this time around, which is very much a good thing. Perhaps the liking will come with the next episode. That would be brilliant. (And hopefully I'll find time for that meta. *kicks RL*)
