Just in case someone's out of the loop:

gabrielleabelle wrote the definitive definition of what a Spuffy shipper is. (Somehow she's particularly qualified for this task because she has no Spuffy icons. I find this highly suspicious! *eyes narrow*)

But then the Penguin AU showed up...

I just linked this post to the SlayerLit mailing list, because it's the seventh birthday today (27th February) of that group, and this is a reminder of just how much fun, and how broad a church, the Whedonverse is; can, and should be.

Exactly everything the man could've hoped for when he first had the idea all those years ago.

I am not, and never will be, a spuffy shipper (or even a WillTara shipper, I have come to realise, despite my sigline - I prefer gen!fics to any kind of shipper fic, and often fic which features otherwise minor characters), but even I have to go and read an all-Penguin AU spuffy-fic.

It's just impossible not to really :-)
