Secondly, then I want to issue some kind of blanket apology for being *useless* at commenting on people's posts. If you're on my flist I read you, honestly.

Thirdly, re. a couple of posts that centered on the same theme (Did Buffy really love Spike? Did he believe her?), then it struck me that the quote on my sidebar really sums up my position perfectly:
"Even if we hadn’t seen Buffy’s face shining in the most perfect, absolute expression of love in that final scene – didn’t everything that Buffy and Spike were to each other already tell us very, very clearly that they loved each other? And if you don’t see that – didn’t already see that, long before this scene – then, goodness, we’re not watching the same show."

Btw I'm not saying that *my* interpretation is the only valid one! I'm sure you've all read Your Friends Are Not Watching the Same Show You Are (And That's Okay), right?
