Well it's cold, and a bit white outside, but honestly it doesn't warrant people going 'OMG SNOW!' on the news. 'Tis amusing though.

Anyway, whilst speaking of weather, thought I'd share this little news report from my fair home (ETA: The news anchor basically says 'It's not always fun going on the ferry. Today was rather windy, and the wind direction was the worst possible. Our camera man happened to be there and got some footage.'):

What makes it so very brilliant, is the (ONE!) comment it has:

cool :) i was working that day and this is nothing at all

If you're curious as to what it might be like to be *on* a ship in conditions like that then here's another video, taken from inside. (Different day, similar weather.)

But - I have parents to spend time with so I shall run off after this extremely random little visit.

It reminds me of the pictures of the Ben I posted a while ago. The video from inside made me think that most people had enough sense to stay at home that day!

I've taken the ferry in rough waters several times-- once I ended up stranded in Victoria. But never quite that rough!
