Being Human 2.2

OMG this show! *does flaily hand thing*

I love how they get so many things spot-on. Like starting an episode with having a gorgeous, shirtless vampire tied to a chair...

There is no wrong.

Although this episode just kept bringing the awesome!

Love the slowly developing relationship between Mitchell and the female doctor (what is her name? I've obviously blanked it out). It feels very real, and nicely tentative, and the way it melded into the overall storyline was beautifully done. Which leads me to another point - I love the vampires, and how their world is beginning to be fleshed out. And the fact that Mitchell is still very much a part of it - his choice to stay 'clean' is a personal one, and he is very keen to uphold the status quo.

I think this is something very important - this show is miles and miles from BtVS/AtS: The characters are not heroes. There are no destinies, no prophecies, no grand dreams about trying to save the world. They just want to be left alone to live their lives.

Which brings me to Nina, and her very understandable reaction to seeing what their 'normal' lives cost them, and the compromises they accept. (Seriously, this show is so well written!)

Also love how they're developing Ivan. He's not Spike after all, more Capt. John (if we stay with the JM characters. *g*) His confrontation with George was well done - and the Kate Bush tape was inspired! :) (That said, I thought the whole 'If we're exposed everyone will turn super-religious and bigoted' was pretty far-fetched, but I'll forgive the guy since he's old and Irish.)

Oh - and the George & Mitchell scene was brilliant. The whole 'Yes I've lived with other people! I didn't spend a hundred years waiting for you and your three different brands of upholstery cleaner!' was absolutely priceless!

But - I've yet to mention the bit that just made me flail incoherently... TERRY WOGAN OMFG!!!! I could kiss the BBC. That part was just *fantastic* and gorgeously creepy and now my heart *aches* for poor Annie. (I shall tiptoe around any possible race!fail etc. and leave that to other people to suss out.)

Anyway, I must run, even though there is SO MUCH MORE I could talk about. *draws hearts*
