Why?
I don't really know what to say and lots of other people have said things already - it's just... we used to live in London. For 3 years. Aldgate East (where the police have confirmed two deaths) was a tubestation we used almost every day. The Royal London hospital where most of the injured are being brought to is where I had Little Miss M. Yesterday (if I hadn't been poorly still) I would probably have made a Squee!Post about London getting the Olympics, especially since we spent a year in Stratford and goodness knows they need the re-generation. Now I'm just upset. Guto Harri said on the news earlier that this was Tony Blair's worst nightmare - the thing that would keep him awake at night. And I think that was fairly obvious in the quick press briefing he did...

That's what really bring it home doesn't it. I commuted into London for 25 years altogether and at one point had to go through King's Cross every day. The thought of being trapped on the underground just horrifies me. I saw Tony Blair's press briefing too...he looked shattered.
Sorry to hear you're still feeling poorly.

It really is. Seeing so many familiar places on the news... it's chilling.
(Feeling MUCH better now, so don't worry about me at all please!)

Glad you're feeling much better. Take it easy though.

That's the scary thing. And much as I adore London there are times when I'm extremely grateful to be living in Yorkshire...
And I'm taking it very easy!
