Stuff.
So - life is back to normal, in that school is open again! Which means that I've been *busy* today and have got things done. Which is good, but also means that now I'm tired and can't remember all the things I was going to post about...
*thinks* Oh yes. I changed my layout (again). I sweet talked
kathyh into making me a banner, and it is very lovely indeed. Spoilery for EoT I guess, although in a rather obscure way! :)
Also
selenak wrote a wonderful post: Ten Reasons To Love Russell T. Davies (Spoilers for EoT!).
And then of course Being Human returned last night... And it was a lovely as ever. I love how even though it is full to the brim with the supernatural, it feels so very, very English. I'm not sure I can explain this paradox, but the world it is set in is incredibly real, rather than 'speshul magical world' or 'soap world'. Everything looks, and everyone behaves, the way real things do. Do you know what I mean?
Anyway, loved that George was both adorable and a jerk, loved the new vampire couple (esp of course the scene with Daisy and her daughter), and the new Bad Guys are seriously NASTY. Oh, and I am very grateful that Nina spilled her secret already.
Darn, must run. But I ♥ this show so much! :)

And George, George, George... *shakes head* Maybe Daisy can do thrall?
Anyway - I love that they show that vampires *do* have emotion. But that is requires more than a quick comment. (must run!)

True, especially that "come with me and we'll see the world and fuck" bit which is essentially quoting Darla (except without US censors). On the other hand, that scene in the parking garage, compared to the Buffy/Spike scenes in "School Hard"? The connection between her sire and George's
boyfriendelder mentor, like Dru/Angel? They've really learned from Buffy. I can't wait until their version of Faith shows up in s3. :-)And George, George, George... *shakes head* Maybe Daisy can do thrall?
That bit actually felt a bit rushed. If they could have saved that for ep 2, establish the mutual fear between George and Nina, I don't think it would have hurt. But yeah, I thought it worked.

Funny you should mention the new vampires. I literally just watched "School Hard". I decided I might as well take advantage of being sick to rewatch Buffy. Spike & Dru definitely come to mind!
And Actually I'm enjoying Inca Mummy Girl way more than I remembered!
I love the new header BTW. It's Sybill Trelawney- timelady isnt' it?
What do you think of my new icon? Just made it, and I think it needs a caption but I can't think of something witty at the moment.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking of.

Should be good! :D

I'm guessing they wanted everyone to be on the same page before they started throwing Bad Guys at them. Which is nice. (Also I hate keeping-secrets as plot.)

It just works, which is such a nice thing. And everything is well-written and well-acted. *hearts*

That seems like a very sensible thing to do. (And I hope you get better soon!)

Somewhere between Spike/Dru and Angelus/Darla. Which is not a bad thing. ;)

Yes, that's how I felt too.

Yep! :) With pretty Gallifreyan writings about the Doctor and the Master (or the 'The Enmity of Ages' as they put it). And it'll never stop amusing me that everyone - even Rssilon himself - knows *exactly* who it's talking about! (Worst. Breakup. Ever.) TheirLoveIsSoNotSecretOnGallifrey!
What do you think of my new icon?
Oh it's very very nice. Can I snag? Not sure it needs a caption to be honest, it's fine just as it is. :)

Hee! Even I can see it; and I'm so not a slasher! Though I love the Doctor & the Master. I recently watched a 3/ master episode; so I don't think it's just DT & JS...

Hep yourself! It's cropped from one of the promotional photos-- it's helping convince me that 11 is really the Doctor.

Ooooh no, it's been there ALL ALONG! I shall quote my authority on this matter,
Mind you, the Master is also the most persistent stalkerish ex boyfriend ever. Angelus has nothing on him. The original intention, back when the character was introduced in the Third Doctor's era, was to provide a Moriarty to the Doctor's Holmes, i.e. an arch nemesis on the same intellectual level, a shadow alter ego, but the two actors at the time were real life bffs, something of that chemistry carried over, the writers must have caught on, and quickly we got "former best friends" backstory which isn't Holmes-Moriarty at all. The slash factor varies depending on the incarnation and writing through the DW decades, but for my money the two of them were past plausible deniability for anything but exes early on. When New Who reintroduced the Master, with all the writers including the headwriter being Old Who fans, it wasn't surprising that the subtext went main text pretty soon.
Also, here is what might very well be the BEST Doctor/Master vid ever:
Help yourself!
Ta! *snags*

I know how you feel. I keep re-watching the S5 trailer, just to have *something* to focus on... ::is impatient::
