Let's hear it for Pinata Donkey!

If you don't get that reference, I'm guessing you weren't around for the Fanlib disaster...

It was a for-profit fanfiction archive that did everything - and I mean EVERYTHING - wrong. Here's an advert:



It *still* cracks me up... (There was fic written about those guys, oooh yes! If you're curious, I can find a link...) I don't think anyone ever discovered what was up with the pinata donkey though - it seemed totally random.

The site died more than a year ago. \o/ Whole sorry tale here.

Aaaaanyway, OTW (Organization for Transformative Works) sprung from this, and it is they who have set up the Archive of our Own...

Which is my roundabout way of saying, that I'd totally love an invite to Archive of our Own, if there are spares. :) I've got two promised to me now, so don't worry.

I'm afraid I don't have an invite yet, but you can register on their waiting list, they seem to move down on it really fast and I'm sure you'd have a code soon.

Getting it from the flist is always better of course, but it really mooves at a reasonable speed, I signed up as 100somthing about four hours ago and now I'm nr.9.
