Don't mind me. I'm just squeeing quietly over here in a corner.
I'm not sure what sort of impression you have of my dear other half. I guess what usually comes across is that he doesn't like fandom (this is actually a sort of backhanded compliment. He thinks I'm talented and shouldn't waste my time on something that's not original). Anyway, apart from that he's a very lovely person (as LM can now verify) and amongst his many talents is his exceedingly good taste when it comes to clothes. I don't mean that he's immaculately dressed, but that he loves buying me stuff (when we can afford it) and that it's always gorgeous. So when a parcel arrived yesterday I was very pleasantly surprised! Catalogues are not usually a particular nice way of shopping, but for a good few years now we've been getting La Redoute, a catalogue full of French fashion. It's got cheap stuff as well as designer wear and I usually find many, many pieces that I really wish I could afford, as well as lovely cheaper stuff that I *can* afford - I think most of my summer wardrobe has come from there.
Anyway (are you asleep yet?) yesterday I got a parcel from them. Darcy got quite excited and proceeded to dress me up (making me close my eyes). When I was finally allowed to open them, I was wearing this. Apparently it was on sale and we had some credit built up, so he wanted to spoil me. ::passes out from teh pretty::
So that's why I'm feeling all bouncy at the moment (and the mood-icon is one of my favourites!). Of course it's not what you'd call practical (a common occurrence with Darcy's presents), but squee! So gorgeous! :)
Btw, I've got two 'Introduce a friend' voucher thingys if anyone's interested. You'll get £25 off your first order (of £50 or more - there always has to be conditions on these things of course).

As for not liking the fandom , I suppose a lot of husbands ( or boyfriends) don't see the importance or the depth of our passion in the Buffyverse , but it doesn't matter after all. As long as they understand the time we need to spend in front of the computer! :)
The weather is gorgeously sunny here , too!

Darcy mostly wishes that I'd write a novel I think. Or something not-fannish. And he is jealous that I seem to have so much time for writing - he would love to stay at home instead of me. Of course then he'd also have to do all the housework and somehow I can't see him taking to that very well!
And yay for sunny weather - I have to go put up the little pool for the children now.
