New layout! :)
And it is very shiny indeed! I asked
kathyh to make me a 'Being Human' banner, and now I just want to sit and stare at it instead of getting anything done...
(Saying goodbye to my AtF header reminded me that I really ought to write something about AtF, since I *adored* the ending. I need more hours in the day - or maybe a nanny and a cleaner. And speaking of comics then I think I've finally had enough of season 8. I'm not even annoyed anymore, just bored. Episode I bored.)

Review by Roger Ebert, which goes into a lot of the stuff I've been pondering. Very deep but excellent.
ETA: LJ has done its icon-swap thing for this post. It *ought* to be Kaylee, but really... isn't.

I know not of this 'Being Human' series. But it's pretty.
I am one of the five comic book fans who didn't like Watchmen when I read it (seriously, I couldn't finish it), so I can't justify spending the $10 to see it in theaters. There are too many other films I am dying to see this summer. (OMG HBP! And the new Transformers!!!!1!! And an Wolverine!!! *insert squeals of geeker joy*) I am alarmingly shallow in my movie choices. I want the shiny, not the serious.
Also, I see Kaylee.

Oh the end of #16 indeed! *flails too* Haven't read 18 yet, and am debating whether I want to at all.

It is a BBC3 drama (only 6 episodes, but it has been given a second season, so we're all waiting for 2010!) about a vampire, a werewolf and a ghost who share a house. In Bristol (UK). And it is wonderful. If there is any way in which you can hunt it down, do - it is extremely well written, funny, and - at times - very dark. Oh and the characters are brilliant - OT3 ftw! *does flaily hands*

Hee! Although I admit to being very, very tempted by HBP. The trailer made me squee!
Also, I see Kaylee.
LJ = bizarro land.

I almost wanted to cry for all the wrong reasons when it was over. It made Buffy, Season 8 look like good solid characterization. That aught to give you an idea. Plus the artist made some...unique...clothing choices for Angel. *rolls eyes* I know he's a clothes horse, but seriously.

O.O Oooh! This might have to be on my list of things to dig for.

I know. "She only likes you because she thinks you're the Chosen One." "But I am the Chosen One." *thwap* "Kidding, kidding." Give in to temptation. Doo eeet. Although, I will say the books, so much better than the movies. They leave so much out, by necessity.

Ouch. Will follow my instincts and give it a miss then!

In three words: Made. Of. Awesome. (I am buying the DVD the *second* it is released!)
"She only likes you because she thinks you're the Chosen One." "But I am the Chosen One."
I keep laughing at that too! *adores Harry* And yes, the books are better (HBP could have done with being a lot shorter imho), but the films certainly have their own charm! :)

I totally, completely, 100% agree with you ... for the first five. See, the movies keep getting better for the things I want from them, though they're still a long, long way from perfect. And then, see, there's this little thing where, um, Ididn'tlikebooks6and7allthatmuch. So even though I obviously haven't seen the last two movies, I have high hopes. And I did enjoy that scene from the trailer. :-)
