BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Xander/Dracula FTW! I can't even... it is deep fried crack straight to the veins! Oh Joss, you really *did* watch Torchwood, didn't you? (ETA: I don't need to specify that clearly he took all the TW crack, but didn't learn from the good stuff, right?)

oh, ok. I get it. yeah, I do agree, the there was a lot of "crack" in this issue, and I loved it, it is such good fun in my opinion.

But I hadn't thought about the Xander Dracula hook up...hmmm...that could definitely be hot :0)

I so rarely find people who read the comics that I can talk to about it...do you mind if I proble...? Since you mentioned you "now" like the comic...what didn't you like in the begining?

You've read this, right? The art is pretty awful, but the story is fun! :)

Try newly_legion - there's another s8 community, but I can't remember what it is called. If you're reading 'After the Fall', can I recommend angel6_atf?

Since you mentioned you "now" like the comic...what didn't you like in the begining?
Um... where to start? The artwork, the castle (why was Buffy living so far away from civilisation?), giant!Dawn, the lack of info about what had happened post-Chosen, skinless!Warren & Amy, Buffy being increasingly OOC (the whole *point* of S7 appears to have vanished, not to mention the bankrobbing) - to mention a few things. I am very, very, very fussy when it comes to how these characters are portrayed, and if s8 was a fic I'd have abandoned it long ago. However - it is now impossible to take it seriously, and therefore I can enjoy it. :)

Oh yeah, I did read that in Tales of Vampire...but I guess I just kind of wrote it off in my mind because it was so rediculous...who would have known it would pop up again :0)
Now seeing you say it, I can definitely see where you are coming from, I didn't think the story really picked up and started being good until #5 and then the Faith arc.

I love it entirely too much. I just wish the artwork was prettier...

The Faith arc was OK (I had a couple of reservations, but mostly it was good solid stuff). If they keep up the level they're at now (and the previews for #16 looked *brilliant*) we should be in luck for the foreseeable future.

I did jump over and read beer_good_foamy's review, I know I will be checking that out monthly from now on...hopefully as the comic get better and better!

Sorry it's taken me so long to repsond. Life sorta ran away from me.

BGF is... no, words fail me. But he is! Oh yes. (We also often share a brain. This is a little worrying.)

And the other s8 community is called btvs_season_8 if you want to check it out. Also aycheb & stormwreath have wonderful s8 meta and are generally very positive, shapinglight also does reviews, and moscow_watcher used to. She might have given up, I'm not sure.
