I've got a theory...

I doubt I'm the first to think of this, but I've not had time to read more than a couple of other people's posts. (Which is my way of saying sorry for possibly re-inveting the wheel.) But thinking about the possibility of Ten regenerating, but keeping the same body, I suddenly remembered 'Last of the Timelords':

The Master: What if I suspend your capacity to regenerate?

Was that ever reversed? I mean, he got *young* again, but I'm sure that what-ever the Master did can be used as an excuse for Ten staying the same.

What do you think?

I think we'll all have been driven crazy by Saturday trying to work it out *g*.

Seriously, I think it's going to be to do with the hand, which we've been very deliberately shown. If it did have to do with the Master suspending the Doctor's capacity to regenerate we ought to have had some mention of it this season just to remind the audience that it's happened. We haven't been allowed to forget that hand...

P.S. You haven't sent me the next chapter of My Immortal have you because I haven't got it?

No rush. I was just worried in case you'd sent it and I hadn't got it.

Wow, that's an idea I have had images of David T going round in my mind trying to get an answer ... well thats my excuse of thinking about him!

YIKES! Being that I'm watching on US time I had no idea what your LJ cut involved. Luckily I only got a few words into your post before I stopped reading but a more informative warning might be helpful to us Yanks.

No helpful thoughts at all, but I remember, vaguely, in one of the old episodes, they showed a montage of the different regenerations of the Doctor, flashing over the Doctor's face and said after a certain number (which I can't remember) he would not regenerate again.

I'll have to ask Ian a fellow who works in the same place as me because he's a true DW geek.

Why would the Doctor not get a new body? Isn't that the whole point of the Doctor - that he can turn into a complete new person and be played by someone else?

So Donna is going to die? Buggerit. Suspected so.

I hope they do replace DT now, then. Best to sweep the board and start completely anew.

Well, even if DT does stick around for 2009, I'm pretty sure he'll leave then, and since Moffatt doesn't take over till 2010, there still won't be any continuity.

Not that I'm that bothered either way.

Who is Jack?

Oh him.

Sorry. I'm not keen on the character so tend to avoid thinking about him except when he's snogging Captain John, and therefore didn't make the connection. I thought you meant an actor's name.
