I doubt I'm the first to think of this, but I've not had time to read more than a couple of other people's posts. (Which is my way of saying sorry for possibly re-inveting the wheel.) But thinking about the possibility of Ten regenerating, but keeping the same body, I suddenly remembered 'Last of the Timelords':

The Master: What if I suspend your capacity to regenerate?

Was that ever reversed? I mean, he got *young* again, but I'm sure that what-ever the Master did can be used as an excuse for Ten staying the same.

YIKES! Being that I'm watching on US time I had no idea what your LJ cut involved. Luckily I only got a few words into your post before I stopped reading but a more informative warning might be helpful to us Yanks.
