Then some fun links: Here is the Tom Cruise Scientology video, and here's a parody. I told my parents (who just left this morning btw. We had a lovely time!) about these videos, and my father decided that he'd like to see them, so I found them for him. When he'd finished the first one, I asked if he'd like to watch the parody also. He looked at me, rather confusedly, and said, "But... I thought that was the parody! Are you telling me that was *real*?" Says it all, I think. *g*

To be honest I'm rather impressed with Tom Cruise. I don't think I've ever heard anyone talk so much and say so little. Seriously - I think I know *less* about Scientology after watching than I did before. That's impressive. (Also there's the fact that he doesn't appear to be able to string a coherent sentence together, but then maybe Scientology isn't fond of grammar?)

btw, have you already seen "Torchwool" by the Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppet Theatre? It's brilliant. The same guy also has the equally hilarious "Scottish Falsetto Sock Puppet Theatre vs. The Darleks" and it's follow-up "I Could Do a Doctor Who".

Thanks muchly for the clips. I am a total geek for that sort of thing (I tend to watch the special features on DVDs before the movie), and sadly the BBC site will not let people outside the UK access the clips or downloads on the site (or much of anything really).
