Um... stuff?

First of a all a Happy Belated Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] elisane! Hope you had a wonderful day! *hugs*

Otherwise... I dunno. I'm about as unbothered by Harry Potter as it's possible to be (the only Harry I'm interested in has the surname 'Saxon'! *g*). I'll try to stay spoiler free, since that is always my default position, and I'll borrow the book off a friend once she (and her children) are done. Mostly so I don't have to avoid spoilers and can enjoy the insane craziness that'll take over the HP fandom. *grabs popcorn*

What I *am* excited about it issue 2 of 'Shadow Puppets' and am steering well clear of the previews! Do NOT spoil me, OK?

What else? Oh yes, I came across a v. v. gorgeous and LARGE picture of John Simm from the Bafta's (I'm sure you know the one) and cut it down to wallpaper size. If anyone wants it, it's here:

Be warned however that he's very distracting. (And yes I ousted JM and Barrowman. Oh how fickle my heart is...). I need to upload a suitable icon. Which means deleting yet another one. *sigh*

Oh and we bought a new car! (R reg, Ford Escort, diesel, v. good condition, £400!) Otherwise I'm just feeling v. detached and am trying to concentrate on my writing. And that never-ending housework (have a RL friend coming to stay for a few days Sunday, so it's kinda necessary). Have a couple of Who-y thoughts, but they'll have to wait.

Skating quickly over the DW stuff - I'm hoping to have the comic in my hands in about 40 minutes, in the post to you tomorrow.

I liked your Buffy squee icon better.

Anyway, touchdown - or the eagle has landed or whatever.

One cannot forget 'Shadow Puppets'. Despite the fact that I will have a shiny new Harry Potter book in my hand by then, I plan on snatching up my copy at the first opportunity. It will make a nice break when my eyes start to cross from the marathon reading sessions, and I wanna see what happens.

You know I didn't realize you were English, I never looked at your info page before, (I know dumb). You have your Americanisms down.

Congrats on the new car! Wheee - you might have to provide photos at some point :)
I've loved John Simm ever since The Lakes so it's lovely to see squee icons of him! :) Thanks for posting the photo - he's both droolworthy and terribly impressive in his acting talents and choice of projects :)

and he's *wonderful*! And also Teh Hawt... ::stares at wallpaper some more::
Heehehehehe! Settled down, you're both married :)
And btw where are you on the HP spectrum?
Bit of a dull roar, really. I've never read the books though seen a few of the films. I have a friend who's a MASSIVE fan though so I see it all secondhand :)
