Outside the cut I’ll rec taleya’s stunning 'Parting of the Ways' vid Fallen Heroes.

Doctor Who is often a hit-and-miss kinda show, but when it gets it right it is *brilliant*. And the finale of S1 is no exception. This vid captures the grand scale and terror wonderfully, and the song fits perfectly!

And demonstrating my utter shallowness here’s a drop-dead gorgeous picture of John Simm. Another candidate for being Teh Sex, definitely...


Beginning with the fun stuff, you really can’t beat this:

And here is one of the most adorable manips *ever*. The Doctor and The Master as friends back on Gallifrey (when they were young). *melts*

Staying with the v. silly cheesygirl made a great Ten vid I’m gonna Buy Me a Dog. The girls *loved* it. :)

Now I adore DW for being shiny and funny and brilliant. But I *love* it because it broke my heart into itty bitty pieces. So here’s a few angsty vids.

Firstly there’s Best Enemies - a Doctor/Master vid by kittenmommmy. It’s her first ever vid, so very straightforward, but the song couldn’t be more perfect. Do check it out!

Then come two vids by obfreak who (I discovered) is a very, very accomplished vidder!

What I’ve Done, a Master vid that is rather downbeat and bleak. I really, really like it!

Behind Blue Eyes. This is quite possibly the best Jack vid I’ve ever seen. Mostly Torchwood material, but so, *so* excellent. Encapsulates his tragedy wonderfully... all in all it’s the perfect companion piece to this fic:
Absolution (by a_farther_room). He’s not sure what he’d like more, the chance to keep his anger or the chance to be forgiven himself.


(Of course there's also my own 7000 word essay examining The Doctor/Master relationship (for lack of a better word) and other things. If, you know, you're in need of reading material...)

I looked towards some of the DW stuff - but decided I don't get everyjrhing done now without getting too side-tracked. So I am going to stay Spuffy ... with maybe an occasional peak at The Doctor from time to time!! LOL

I meant to sign up, but never got round to it - for which I am rather grateful, since I doubt I'd have found the time. And there's plenty of people who did sign up, so I'm not feeling too guilty!

Oh I know that feeling. And really I am just on the outskirts of the edges of the DW fandom, following links but not getting involved in anything. And fic is right out! Still - it is so very, very pretty!
