I never realised that it was Faith until people here said so. I wondered who Giles' gorgeous new girlfriend was... Although if memory serves she wouldn't be immune to his charms:

Like I just said in someone else's journal, I think I might be willing to give the comics one more chance ;) Though unfortunately the actual panel art is again less than impressive. Is Jeanty getting even worse with anatomy, or is that some other artist?

But I don't like the summary... at all. What was Faith's arc the last time we saw her, again? Killing people is WRONG, and staying in the fight no matter what is RIGHT. And now... uh...

But I don't like the summary... at all. I'd not read (or noticed) the summary until you pointed it out. As you can see from my latest post it might just have been the final straw.
And really, I have this epic WIP I'm trying to write. Cutting out S8 and all the attendant bitching would save a LOT of time...
But it took me way too long to realize that had to be Faith. I mean, it's a beautiful woman, but ... Faith? Not quite so much. And wow on the enormo-boobs. Half the size would have been more accurate and just as purty.
And WOW do I hate the "alternative" cover. It SUCKS.

Vow! Giles is absolutely kickass! And he's dressed like Ethan in Buffy's dream, hmm. Will we see a bit of Ripper!Giles this season? So far we learned zilch about him, what's his M.O. now, does he keep in touch with Buffy or is he back to his Watcher roots... judging by the ad, he might be pushing Faith on the dark path. As for Faith out to kill a slayer - I hope it's a gotcha. It says - "out to kill", not "will kill". I hope it won't be that simple. And Faith on the cover? She's supposed to look different. Undercover, see? And totally new look. I'm cool with that. But the other cover - ugh. Looks like a Barbie collection. Also- "Shindig", anyone? :)

Comics visual shorthand at work. Buffy is blonde and pouty. Willow has red hair. Xander has an eyepatch. Giles has glasses. Andrew is irritating. Faith has enormous breasts. It's just how to recognise the characters. :-)
