My muse came back! She'd been gone for a month and I was beginning to despair and then suddenly she turned up late Wednesday as if nothing had happened. I wrote 1600 words of the WIP yesterday and omg it felt like heaven. So - I *will* get some writing done now. If you see me around, tell me to go away and write, OK?

Which reminds me - where exactly is Angel's room in the Hyperion? In my head I have it placed on the first floor, to the left, but is that correct? Any help muchly appreciated! (Are there floor plans for the Hyperion btw? I mean of all of it?)

Also I am waiting for my issue 1 of 'Shadow Puppets' to (hopefully) arrive tomorrow! *is insanely excited*

ETA: Article in The Guardian about JM's appearance in Torchwood. Rather harsh, but then comparing Torchwood to Buffy is bound to end in tears. And the writer is not wrong. *pets poor Torchwood*

There's a feature about the set designs on the DVD boxed set (I think it's season 4 - a last look at the Hyperion) There's also plans. I used them when writing The 'LA Times' Series. Angel's room is on the first floor.

PS I agree with most of the article about Torchwood. I gave up on it after a few episodes.

I gave up on it after a few episodes.
It got better. Well a bit - some episodes were actually good. And I just have this soft spot for it in all its messed-up-ed-ness (*so* a word!). So I am crossing my fingers for season 2... it has *such* potential if only the writers could get it together.

I only read a few... 'How dare you love Joss? Warg!' Heh. At least they're not complaining about RTD being blinded by JM's abs - which is of course a perfectly valid reason for casting him. And Captain Jack *better* be blinded by them!

Heh. It's not that bad, honestly. Rather grim, but I enjoyed it (and Jack's pretty!) and it really *does* have an awful lot of potential, if only the writers pulled themselves together. And lovely OTPs. :)

That's what kept pulling me back and will have me watching the next season... it's just chock-full of potential, if someone would just take the time to push it in the right direction.

BTW, I loved the fact that the article pointed out one of the big things that bugged me through the whole first season of the show: that Owen was using the equivalent of a date-rape drug and it was played entirely as funny, with no consequences for him.

Not then, no. The issue was sort of addressed in that episode with the alien thingy that took people back in time - I know that it certainly made *me* look at Owen differently. Yes he's a total bastard, but he *does* have a heart.

It's the sequel to 'Maybe Someday'. Am now 16500 words in and have just got past the beginning... will post once it is finished, which will be God knows when. It's going to be epic! :)
