(I've also been laughing very, very hard. Seriously - I'm going to be bursting into uncontrollable giggles at the most inappropriate moments for days now, I'm sure... It really is most inconvenient. *g* Still doesn't make this story *canon OMG*, but it sure is fun!)

Ah, but you know that it's true! There's nothing wrong with the basic ideas (the ideas are rather neat), it's just all tell and not show. Might send you chapter 3 just to get some sort of validation, since that chapter is more or less OK. *kicks muse*

Tried that already and plenty of inspiration followed... and I ended up writing yet more snippets of the sequel to 'Cavemen'. *sigh* Although I have had a break through there, in that I've found something to *do* with the threesome - apart from the pretty and the sexy of course. ;)

As you know, I've already managed to put a Spangell-y slant on it too. And of course, there's also a Spuffy one - ie. that Buffy's hand on Spike's face is a reminder to him of the fiery handclasp and that she hasn't forgotten what she said to him in the Hellmouth.

You know - I think that might be it. Esp since it also has cherubs, tunnels, trains, flowers (are they lilies?) and stakes. OK, so naked vampires is never not hot, but mostly it just cracks me up. As Buffy says "Did I mention that I'm not crazy good at symbolism?"

It is a major bugbear with nurses world-wide, that their traditional uniform is regarded as the stuff of sexual fantasy - which is seen as part of the background to sexual assaults on nurses being common 'because we all know what nurses are like'.

Personally I cannot see 'being a nurse' as a Buffy fantasy at all - nor can I see 'Buffy as a nurse' being a fantasy for Spike or Angel either - so we conclude that the fantasy is either Joss's, or the artist's!

And of course there is this regular thing in artists minds that nurses have little red crosses on their hats - only if they are serving members of the Red Cross on Red Cross duty, dummy!

Hmm... that part is really not a problem for me. The entire panel is such a bunch of ridiculous clichés that one more does not bother me - and she had to wear something. Going with the rest of the imagery, a nurse's uniform would seem another standard thing grabbed from pop culture - like the cherubs and the trains etc.

There's also the thing that she *has* often nursed Spike and Angel [points to icon as example], so it wouldn't be a new role particularly - just a slant on a pre-existing situation.

Mostly the image makes me crease up in fits of giggles, and trying to take it seriously just doesn't work - sorry.

Not so far... (*crosses fingers*) and the image is making its way around fandom with warp speed anyway. Also I think most people worked out that this was what Joss had in store! Besides it's not spoilery as *such* - it is quite simply a glimpse into Buffy's subconscious rather than any plot.

I think it's implied...*g* The whole image is the most fantastical thing I've ever seen - hysterically funny and yet hot too. Oddly people think that Joss is trying to wriggle out of the whole shipping thing - *I* think he's just sensible enough to see that S/B/A is the only logical solution to the problem!
