(Well, time and energy depending. You caught me at a good point. *g* During covid I did daily posts for... oh a year and a half. Madness, but it was fun. I got to use this icon a lot.)

I saw that icon on your icons page and it's perfect lol. Also strangely prescient, considering when that episode aired... (side note: he's wearing his long coat there. I noticed that he wore that coat occasionally besides the tweed but before the Victorian costume--which I love.)

<3 I have never watched the movie, I have read the book. (Many years ago, but still.)

To be fair, Doctor Who has an episode for everything. ^_^

I remember how, in interviews before S6 aired, Matt talked about his costume has been updated. We were all very exited.

Side note: I've been poking at the Doctor Who novels (I did actually buy The Day of the Doctor but I haven't read it yet) and I am somewhat entertained by the fact that on two of the covers he's wearing his Victorian costume but in the actual text he's in his tweed!
OT: I know you like Good Omens too, and (no spoilers, I haven't seen the finale yet) do you remember which episode of season two has the arachnid so I can avoid it? I can't remember and I need to rewatch season two before I can watch the finale.

I think he just wanted to switch it up a bit.

Cover art is... not something I have ever understood. And now part of me wants you to read The Day of the Doctor immediately, but my more sensible side says that you should save it 'till last, because it's just so much better than any of the others.

Me: There's a spider in S2 of Good Omens? This one took me a while, but I got there: it's the episode with the flashback to WW2. So skip ahead when the zombies show up.

I was reading The Day of the Doctor last night and in the chapter with River and the Doctor in the bath, you're supposed to guess *which* incarnation of the Doctor is telling the story there... but I couldn't figure it out! Which one was it? :)
Thank you for finding that out for me!
(P.S. Steven Moffat was writing River's wonky timeline in the book too and it's still confusing; how does he keep it straight?!)

I'm sure it's Ten. Eleven is happy to flirt with River, Ten is all tangled up in his own issues. ^_^
Thank you for finding that out for me!
You're welcome. It's all from memory, so if I am wrong I apologise profusely!

It's roughly back-to-front, but also a bit all over the place. And their time together spans *centuries*, so just go with it.

I think it will be fine! I did wonder why they felt that necessary to put in the show, though...
But it's really really hard to write fic with them. :)

Mmmmmm. 100%

It's Hell, there are horrible things and most people are afraid of spiders. (SOME people are not. Like my mother. Who thinks they are cute. Yes, my mother is very strange.)
But it's really really hard to write fic with them. :)
Just make them flirt and not talk about where they are in their timeline. ^_^

Your mother IS strange...
Somehow the timey-wimeyness always sneaks in! (Though I just--within the last two minutes--had the urge to write filthy Eleven slash. With Ten, probably...)

At least I've gotten relatively good at that--because I'd rather they be gone!

But I know many people love her, and her era, and that is lovely.

(Side note: have you seen The Neverending Story? Because the Flux reminds me of the Nothing...)

LOL. *points to horse drawing* You see? ;)

I have not seen it, but I have read the book.

I have tried, and failed, to write an adequate thank you on your rec post, so I looked for a poem.
I think this expresses my thoughts better than I can myself.
Just as my character(isations) live my life better than I do.

I know that feeling very well. <3
Just as my character(isations) live my life better than I do.
I would say the solution is to be meaner to your characters - but that doesn't seem right. ;) Just keep writing.
