Did you know I could paint?

Heh. Rather a pretentious subject line, I know, but I'm not claiming to be a *good* painter, even though I still hold out hope that one day I'll go to art college! Anyway, what with all this talk of the comics and the artwork etc, I remembered that I never shared these pictures (since I vaguely recall the recipients okay-ing me putting them in my LJ).

Long, long ago I did a watercolour for poshcat of trees next to a lake.



And then I painted a picture of this icon (from AHITW) for buttersideup which took me mumble mumble forever to finish.




Have to run, but I have to say that the new and improved image uploading with a direct link to my photobucket account is *great*! Sometimes LJ really does come up with good ideas!

Your paintings are beautiful! I really admire people who are talented in the visual arts. I can barely draw a stick figure.

Thank you! And I know how you feel - I can't make icons etc to save my life!
