Ahhh, I did read the first Tumblr post and now I know that there's living oral history going back 40,000 years on Gunditjmara Country, the story behind the Budj Bim cultural heritage site

What's amazing is not that Australians traditionally have "seven" sisters, but that everybody else does too.

I'll tell you something else that's even weirder. Koreans and Germans share a superstition that if you point at a rainbow, your finger will become crooked. Okay, well, they also share fermented cabbage - except that's something that they also both share with some groups of Native Americans and Australians. It may be as universal as the Seven Sisters.

And another one: Belgium, famously, has Manneken Pis. China has tea pets shaped like a peeing boy. Coincidence? Yeah, probably, but I like to figure that a peeing boy is just a universal motif.
