'Dead Things' love.

I think if I had to choose a favourite episode from S6 it'd be 'Dead Things'. Thankfully I don't have to, so I can happily indulge in loving all of S6, but DT really is special. I was reminded of this the other day when [livejournal.com profile] crackers4jenn posted a Dead Things picspam. God - it's just so beautiful and sexy and dark and messed up and just seems to showcase *everything* extraordinary about S6. Go enjoy the pretty pictures and laugh at the funny text. c4j is superb at bringing the funny! :)

And what with all this DT nostalgia I uploaded the Under The Rug Scene. Y'all know what I mean! The one that they shot but didn't use. If you've never seen it, go on and download (wmv format). I've no idea where I got it from, or who made it, but it's apparently from Buffy.nu. Love the music also, makes it seem like more than 'just a daily'. And it's hot - did I mention that?

(In other news... Had a wonderful day yesterday - we went up to Haworth and walked around on cobbled streets, saw the Bronte museum, ate icecream and enjoyed the lovely sunshine. And now housework beckons once more...)

I'm not sure I have seen this scene. Will have to wait till I get home to d/l, though. It's not one of these only a certain number of d/ls allowed, is it?

Oh, and I love DT too.

Many thanks for this. I thought I'd seen it before but the music makes it so much stronger (and hotter *g*).

I think Dead Things is my all time favorite episode. I loved the Spuffy scenes.

Hey, the Buffy/Angel magazine had an interview with Steven S. DeKnight about this episode - I liked it a lot, since it asked a lot of really interesting questions (like who helped, what the purpose was, what the writer thought of this or that, et cetera).

Seconding (fourthing?) the DT love. It's definitely one of my favourite episodes in S6, though I can't watch Spike's Prince of Darkness act in the balcony scene with a straight face :)

And now that I read the picspam post, I remember that the Spike/Crypt Door scene was in this episode too. Good times :) I love how the fact that Buffy is nowhere to be seen when Spike finally opens the door seems to suggest that he'd been humping the wall long after she'd already left :)

Thanks! I've seen the clip before, but sans music. Much better with!

Oh! So they spliced all the sex scenes from the dailies into one long scene... and did a pretty decent job of it, too! The music really does help, as well.

I love "Dead Things" with a firey passion. It may be my favorite episode ever. The darkness! The angst! The naked Spike! With the sexy voice of darkness and angst! *loves*

Thanks for pointing me to that picspam. It was a riot. :)

Oh my goodness, actual real life Spuffy porn! I'd never seen this. Thanks so much for the file!

The clip with no music seem to have clearer close up shots.
Somehow I think if they could film this scene scores of other "hot male leads" but it ust would not measure up since you cant recreate thier synergy.
