With all due respect to sprawled on the sofa Edwin, fairly certain waistcoat-and-shirtsleeves Edwin is peak Edwin, and as Netflix isn't here to gainsay us, we may assume that this was his primary costume for season two.

100%. I think it's the fact that he is working? Competence is hot in itself, then add the waistcoat-and-shirtsleeves and you can't get any further on the hotness scales. Also HOW does Charles not combust? Every fic that has him suddenly go spare over Edwin's wrists/arms is *so* on point.
