Time flies...
18 years ago The Cherub arrived.
Seems impossible that it was so long ago, but here she is, all officially an adult!
Her main wish was a drum kit (to go with the violin and the piano and the saxophone and the clarinet...). But we got the grandparents to chip in (these things are expensive), and she's a very happy girl.
Went to York for the day (always a nice day out!) and had booked an escape room this afternoon - and then had family round in the evening. A good day in every way, and she feels properly spoiled and celebrated. :)

My BABY!
How delightful that her main wish was instruments. My 13yo plays double bass at school and piano on his own time, and I derive so much joy from the fact that he makes music for fun.
Good luck with it - it might end up taking over everything. Mine plays in several different groups/orchestras and is looking at conservatoires... But it's lovely that there is always music. :)
