Anyway, since I have been battling with a fic for like, ever (it features the Seeker, Josh & Jamie - I ♥ my OCs, even if they will NOT behave when it comes to this fic), I occurred to me that maybe I should post the background/origin stories for Josh & Jamie that have been sitting in my drafts since forever. So I made a start! I've called it 'Family Fortune' (since it's all about their respective families) and the first story is 'Mothers and Daughters' (4 short chapters, only just over 4k words altogether), and it can be found here:

Now this particular story is basically unashamed baby fic, and you need know nothing about my AU 'verse (or even Doctor Who) - it could be original fiction, tbh, and the premise is very simply: 'What if your (beyond adorable) baby was... not quite what it seemed?'

Tate and Tennant are coming back for the 60th special. A lot of people are excited about that. I kind of hope they don't overshadow Ncuti. And also I can't forget how Ten and Donna's friendship ended.

Ncuti is amazing (listening to Lusus, a spooky drama on BBC Sounds that includes him and Morfydd Clark), I really really hope this will be a springboard for him and not just a nostalgia-fest over Ten and Donna.

If I was RTD, I'd do a flash-back w/Ten & Donna to get people up to speed (it's a long time since they were on TV) and then have Donna & Fourteen meet & run around for the rest of the episode. Best of both worlds.

Unless we get Ten, Donna AND Fourteen, which I could also get behind, if nothing else for Fourteen getting to tell Ten that he way to young to understand anything. *g*

Well, the only single thing I desperately, desperately want from The Return of RTD is for him to damn well fix the inexcusable thing he did to Donna, so now my hopes are up. He'd better not crush them again! I'm not sure I could handle it.
