With butter and cream? Yes. With Chibnall's flair for an uninspired turn of phrase and leaden exposition? I can't even imagine the black hole of boredom that would result. No to the cream. But we survived S11, so...
Was intending to provide commentary before I realized there just wasn't any commentary to be provided. I maintain my original impressions that it is all . . . pretty ok. Like, it is solidly enjoyable as you're watching it. I just immediately forget it all and lose all desire to continue once I stop. Mmmm. Yeah, this. It feels like (I have a feeling I've said this before?) that it's AU? Like, Thirteen is a Doctor from somewhere in the multiverse, but not really THE Doctor. Now and again there are little flashes, but mostly it's mildly entertaining, I'm just not particularly engaged.
Also I deeply dislike the whole 'Talking directly to the audience' in all this new promo stuff. Hope the 8 year olds enjoy it, but it takes me OUT of the story.
