So. An update of sorts.
Surprise!Temp!Job was supposed to be for a week only, except they are looking to replace the girl I was filling in for, so it might become permanent... Don't know anything for certain yet, but they want me back for tomorrow at least, so that's promising.
It's a very nice job by the way - I'm basically a receptionist, answering phones, logging calls and mail, plus filing and assorted other stuff. The company is an engineering firm, so they make useful stuff which pleases me, and everyone is very nice (only about 10-15 people work in the building). The only awkward thing is that it's on the other side of town, and if I get it permanently getting the kids to school is going to be DIFFICULT and will requite a lot of juggling. But still - fingers crossed!

In other news the next chapter of My Immortal 2 is FINALLY behaving, so you might see that in not too long. I can't remember anything, ever, being that awkward to write. (Even when I was writing the draft back in November I didn't finish that particular chapter and went on to the next bit...) Let's hope Guinness is right and that good things come to those who wait! *g*
